Title: JavaOne Cloud Computing Highlights

Abstract: “Cloud” was definitely one of the buzz words of JavaOne 2009. We’ll share some take-away’s and highlights from a few of the cloud computing sessions, focusing primarily on the Google and Amazon cloud technologies.

Bio(s): Ronak Patel is a Senior Software Engineer with 5 years of work experience currently working for BAE Systems in Rancho Bernardo, CA. on Enterprise GIS systems. I'm also currently working on an iPhone startup project called Snocell. In the past, I've worked for MLB.com and BAE Systems in New York City on a variety of projects, including SOA Architecture, CORBA & Web Services and Swing Applications.

Ryan Thoma is a Senior Software Engineer, Technical Lead, and Software Architect in the design and implementation of complex J2EE Internet and SOA based applications for over 10 years. Most recently a geospatial intelligence program that utilizes the latest in webservices and Service-Oriented Architecture.
