Title: Leveraging Open Source Software to Build Enterprise Class Software

Abstract:
There are many open source libraries and frameworks available to developers. There’s rarely a reason to build completely from scratch. At FICO, we recently released a new, organically developed product built largely using open source frameworks. In this presentation we will briefly outline the product requirements, and show how they were implemented using open source software, including Spring Batch, Spring Integration, Hibernate Search, Lucene and Hazelcast. This will not be a generic review of these open source projects. Rather, we will show real working usage, of these and more.
